The building was fully renovated and refurbished, in addition, a small-scale extension was designed. The external walls and structure were all that remained once we had gutted the house and concentrating on recreating the flow of movement that would allow the new house to works as a family home. DESCRIPTION
The property in the heart of Westminster has completely refurbished to suit the modern lifestyle of a young family. The whole internal structure was altered and an additional lower ground floor extension was provided. The clients dreamt to live in a contemporary 21-century home and the brief included high spec systems relevant for the time. As a result, the original layout of the terraced house was adjusted and improved as well as enhanced with the tailor-made furniture. My involvement was during the construction phase and included all the relevant packages. Regular site visits.
NAME
5 Shouldham Street | Residential Building, London
COLLABORATION WITH
Brian O'Reilly Architects (all rights reserved to)
DESCRIPTION
A grade II listed Georgian terrace house complete with a basement and butterfly roof within Molyneux Conservation Area in Marylebone. The house was built in the 19th century and was untouched since 1950’s. The original interior of the house was in a poor condition with the majority of the original features in despair.
The design proposal aimed to reinstate original features whilst improving its usability as a family home. The planning stage was particularly exciting due to the many restrictions of the conservation area and challenging high-density residential area.
A professional contractor with extensive experience in working on Listed buildings won the tender.

NAME
5-6 Upper Belgrave Street | Residential Building, London
COLLABORATION WITH
MAP Projects ltd (all rights reserved to)
DESCRIPTION
5 UBS and 6 UBS are two separate projects did almost simultaneously. Still each one of them had its individual specifics, the most significant of which is the scale - 5UBS was owned by 1 owner (including rear mews house), 6UBS was divided into separate apartments. Both of the buildings are listed - grade II*, therefore, work with historical consultants was absolutely needed and important. Rear court infill extension was provided and refurbishment was done for both.
Projects I started from the very beginning. I was involved in the design process, preparing planning applications and successful completion of phase 1. I worked on solving structural and mechanical problems. These were the projects that I was personally responsible for (together with a senior architect). I was in charge of regular visits on site, attending meetings and discussions with builders, main contractor, heritage consultant, interior designers, solving problems on building site (with or without senior architect).

and collective
DESCRIPTION
The project was started with the main idea to make new generation of knowledgeable consumers of the architecture who will be able to appreciate the beauty and in this way to remodel the environment for the better. We don't aim to make architect from every child but mainly to have fun while learning about cities, architects, materials and construction principles in a spontaneous and easy-going atmosphere. We try not to be teachers like those in the school but only to direct the thoughts and the emotions of the children so that they could learn in a pleasant way.
